The High's free admission days offer two different ways to visit
Second Sundays and third-Wednesday Access for All programs make different kinds of museum time possible.

The best museum plan is sometimes a smaller one: a single gallery, a conversation about one work, or a return to an artist you did not understand the first time. The High Museum of Art's free admission programs can make those visits easier to fit into everyday Atlanta life.
UPS Second Sundays provide free museum admission on the second Sunday of each month, with family-friendly programming from 1–4 p.m. Access for All offers free admission and drop-in programming for adults on the third Wednesday. Check the current event listing for registration and the day's specific activities.
These programs sit alongside the museum's normal ticketing rules. General admission includes collection galleries and most special exhibitions, while most events are separately ticketed. The museum at 1280 Peachtree Street NE normally closes Mondays and issues its final daily ticket an hour before closing.
Use the floor maps to choose a manageable route and identify ramp access before moving between spaces. Start by looking at a work before reading its label, then see whether the context changes your first impression. A free day is valuable even if it produces one memorable encounter instead of a complete tour of the building.
